Introducing some of our skilled Fairtrade Producers

Here at More Than Gifts we are very fortunate to have found some excellent craftspersons to make our products.
These include:
1.
Aspiration International, India
Aspiration is based in Delhi and provide work for people located all over India including by promoting and developing cottage industries, improving economic and social welfare and proving fair wages.
Aspiration organise groups of semi skilled and skilled artisans to help bring them up from poverty to being able to become independant.

2. Madhya Kalikata Shilpangan (MKS)
Based in Kolkata this company aims to rejuvenate Indian handicrafts by providing training and workshops for artisans. It also offers education and medical facilities to its workers.

3.
TARA Projects, India
(Trade Alternative Reform Action was founded in 1973 to help poorly organised and struggling artisans in Delhi, find markets for their goods. By creating opportunities for these home-based craftsmen market and sell their goods, TARA projects helps to generate steady work and income.
TARA projects fund non-formal and vocational schools as well as literacy centres for adults and constantly campaigning and educating people about fair trade.

Earth Bags, India
Based in Kolkata, this company specialises in bags made from jute, a sustainable material which is becoming increasingly popular as people search for alternatives to plastic bags.
